Juice Detox Day 2

Today is my second day of juicing and fasting. So far I feel great, not as hungry as I usually am and I feel completely less bloated than usual. I am loving this detox so far, Maybe this is the one I have been searching for my whole life.

I had a late breakfast this morning, decided to make a juice with a concoction of fruit I had left. I fancied something a little different, something more tasty.

Recipe 1 | Breakfast : Fruit Juice
1 Cup of strawberries
1 Kiwi
1 Small banana
1 Mango
Hand full of spinach
Half glass of orange juice

This has to be my favourite one so far. The fruit works very well together creating a glass of goodness! For Lunch I decided on another soup. I really fancied a soup again, something different but just as filling as the last one.

Recipe 2 | Lunch : Curry Vegetable Soup
1 Onion
1 Sweet Potato
1 Carrot
Handful of peas
1 Yellow chili
1 Red chili
Tsp Ginger
4 Cloves Of Garlic
Fennel
Curry Powder
Basil
3 cherry tomatoes
Salt / Pepper

Boil & Simmer for 30 Minutes and blend away.

Loose the weight | Juice Detox Day 1

Lately I have been on a super big health kick, after trying numerous diets in the past I have hardly settled on one that has worked for me.
This week my boyfriend recommended the juice detox diet, He was starting it himself so I thought I would give it ago and join him, even though my will power is dreadful. This diet contains various fruit & Vegetable juices and fat free soups so basically a liquid diet.

So Today is Day 1 for me. I begun having a pint of water with lemon and a juice for breakfast. Up to now I don't feel hungry and feel quite satisfied. I am not an expert on diets or nutrition but for me, so far so good.

Recipe 1 | Breakfast : Fruit Juice
1 cup of strawberries
1 cup of pineapple
1 peach
Half Cucumber

Blend all into a blender and serve with ice. This is such a tasty juice and very filling.

Recipe 2 | Lunch : Spicy Vegetable soup
1 Carrot
half sweet potato
half onion
1 red chili ( including seeds)
2 full garlic cloves
1 celery
2 red peppers
1 fat free stock cube
tsp ginger | tsp chili sauce
basil leaves / salt / pepper
pinch sugar
tsp fat free tomato purée

Boil & Simmer for 30 Minutes and blend away.

So far this is all I have ate today, On this detox I would advise to still drink as much water as possible, can't give up the goodness!
Has anyone tried the juicing/liquid detox diet? How did you find it?

Banning those blemishes!

Although I have never suffered from spots, I have always suffered from blemishes! The bane of my life.
For years I have struggled to get rid of the redness and blemishes in my skin and I have tried many products in the past which have always failed.
For the past year I have hardly had any blemishes and I have a totally different skin care regime, I found this has worked sooo much and I'm a lot more happier inside now I have blemish free skin, yippee!

Please excuse the dirt, They are makeup wipes at the end of the day ;)

So after removing some of my makeup with these I then move onto cleansing pads! I use the Clearasil Daily clear, deep cleansing pads. These are my ultimate Favorite things to use everrrr. This removes all dirt and makeup and leaves you with fresh skin. Although at first your face can look super red and may sting, this will calm down within 10 minutes and by the next day my skin is always silky smooth :) I always use these before bed rather than in the morning as they might be a little harsh.

Another product I always use for blemishes has to be my moisturiser. This one I found to work amazing, This tightens and wakens up the skin. Not only do I love this for my blemishes I use it as my everyday moisturiser, I cannot rave any more about product, It simply fab!

Last but not least I find using honey is a great skin remedy, you can make great homemade face masks including honey and other things in your fridge that are just as good as high end treatments.

Do you have any skin care products you recommend? Or what do you find works amazing? I would love to know :)
So I always always use cleansing wipes before any cleanse, I use Home Bargains 2 for £1 cucumber wipes. They work amazing and the fragrance leaves your skin with the most amazing smell (my boyfriend always compliments my skin when using these). I use them religiously  to take my makeup off, remove eye makeup (which can be a killer) and I even use it to clean my shoes ha ha!

Eating clean day 2! - Positive thoughts

Hey everyone

So day 2 of eating clean and I'm feeling more positive than ever.

For breakfast I had 2 pieces of wholemeal toast and low fat butter with a light fried egg. I was going to poach my egg but I resulted to quickness tutut! I really fancied a bowl of fruit with yogurt but I need to do some shopping :(

For lunch again I'm having Low fat hummus and 1/4 home made garlic bread made again with low fat butter. Not so healthy but this clenches my hunger for the rest of the day so I feel more full, and its so tasty!

For tea I'm having fish, Usually I have chicken as I only eat white meat but I'm finding that I am becoming so bored with it! Fancy something exciting and yes fish is exciting to me ha ha , something I never have but desperately need in my diet. With this I'm having a fist full of new potatoes along with some salad, Yum!!

I have had 2 glasses of water, Not enough i suppose but its a start!

Anybody else eating clean, How you all getting on? Id love to know :)

Eating Clean

Hey everyone

So I have decided to write a food blog today rather than beauty, many years battling with my yoyo weight, I thought It was a good idea to write down and organize my eating habits and lifestyle.
So today is day one, And I'm feeling really positive. I have struggled to eat healthy in the past due to my 'fussy eating' but as I have grown older, I have experimented and enjoyed a lot more food, its great to finally have a choice.

For breakfast I had the ever so lovely golden syrup porridge  I feel having a little bit of sweetness to my breakfast, clenches my hunger for the rest of the day, Fully satisfied breakfast and enjoyed every bit of it!
Although not super adventurous, you can't go wrong with porridge.

For lunch I had bought some reduced fat hummus from Tesco, Lobbed it into the microwave for 40 seconds and added pepper. Then had a 1/4 of light choices wrap with it. So tasty, I think this might be my new favorite lunch! whoo hoo!! Has anyone tried the other flavored hummus?

For tea I will indulge in free range home made chicken breast burger with salad, This is such a tasty meal and I plan to eat every meal with a handful of salad.

I think the most important thing for me is to drink lots of water, I never drink enough fluids and always find my self hungry and dry. This is a goal I wish to achieve, so for the next month I'm testing myself with many challenges.

Do you have any challenges or goals for this year? I would love to know !

Getting that perfect Natural Glow!

Helloo There!

If you are like me and always looking for ways to increase a natural glow to your face then I'm going to show you a easy and cheaper way to create that look. Winter is now over and the heavy makeup comes off, I love winter and wearing more coverage to my skin but I also love having that natural finish on those days I don't feel like spending hours on my makeup!

Firstly I always Prep My skin by using a pH-balanced product such as: Dermalogica, Simple, Sanex & Clarins, these will work with your body's natural chemistry, It's quite important you don't use products that leave your skin with a firm texture. I then mix this with bicarb, a cheap easy product which you find in most kitchens (and its an absolute bargin)  This will give your skin an amazing glow.

Secondly I use a sunscreen with SPF 15, It is very important to use a sun protector,it prevents the pigmentation and discoloration to your skin and maintains its facial glow, also remember to do this in advance before you take a trip out, many creams, and lotions can darken the skin on your face. I mix mine with a tinted moisturizer if it already does not contain some but usually it does contain so make sure you check!!
I then use either a buffing brush or my clean hands to apply this onto my face, this creates a awesome glow and a natural finish. If you feel that this does not provide enough coverage for you, you can then use a concealer to hide those blemishes.

You should then use a highlighter of your choice and one that matches your skin tone, sweep this and highlight the corner of your eyes, under the brows, above the cheekbones and then to the center of your bottom lip. This will give you that amazing glow on top of your skin.

If you feel like adding any color into your skin, you can always add a cream blush or cream bronzer to the apples of your cheeks. I find wearing blush and bronzer with the tinted moisturizer makes your face look amazing and I always receive complements when wearing a glowing natural look.

Not only can you create a perfect glow with products, you can always do this through a healthy balanced diet for a healthy body and skin. A overall health of the body will be reflected on the face as it retains it's natural glow.

I'm hoping this summer to have a bronzed natural glow! what look are you going for?

Thanks for reading :)
