Seven Deadly Sins Tag!

With loads going on in my life recently I haven't had time to pick up my laptop and blog away. Since having a little time to myself I thought I would write up a few posts this week and finally get back into a routine!
soo I thought I would begin with a Seven Deadly Sins tag!

1. Greed: What is your most expensive beauty item?

Has to be my Chanel foundations! I don't usually like splurging out on makeup as I always love to find a cheaper dupe but I couldn't help myself when I heard such good things about them. They have lasted over two years so defiantly worth the money!

2. Wrath: Which beauty item do you have a love/hate relationship with?

For me this has to be blusher! I can't stand how it looks on my skin and I can never get it to sit nicely with my bronzer. No matter how many I have tried, I can't bring myself to love it.

3. Gluttony: What brand makes up the biggest chunk of your makeup collection?

This is a difficult one as I love trying as many different brands as possible but the majority of my collection is by Rimmel, Collection & MAC.

4. Sloth: What product do you neglect to use due to laziness?

Any hair product, I can never be bothered to use anything on my hair except hair oil. I find it such a effort as it takes so long to do.

5. Pride: Which beauty product gives you the most confidence?

For me this would have to be foundation and bronzer, without them I feel chubby and spotty. They make me feel a lot better about myself .

6. Lust: Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?

This has to be Chanel tan de soleil. As a huge bronzer fan I am dying to try this!!

7. Envy: What makeup product/look looks great on others but not on yourself?

I would have to say a dark smokey eye, With having bigger lips I feel lipstick suits me better than a heavy eye makeup.

I Tag anyone who reads :)

Spring Nails

Since the weather is getting (a little) better, I thought I would share some of my favourite spring nail polishes. I usually go through phases of dark's to lights and recently I have been loving pastel light colours. I am loving Revlon's blue lagoon and natural collections antique coral, These are so perfect for spring and great with a tan. Barry M's strawberry nail paint is super cute but may take a few coats. All these brands and colours are long lasting which is a bonus. I am loving miss sporty quick dry nails, these are perfect for summer as they basically dry within a minute and hardly chip. The lilac shade is beautiful an suits any skin tone.

Has anybody tried these nail polishes? What is your favourite colour to wear this spring?

Barry M - Gelly Hi-shine Nail Paint Review

So recently the Barry M Gelly nails have been ever so popular and I have been dying to try them!
I went into Superdrug and had a look so see what Barry m goodies they had on offer and their Gelly Paints just stood out, looking pretty and shiny.
I decided to try the colour 'Lychee', I never choose nude polishes so I was excited to try this beautiful colour.

So firstly, I love the packaging, Barry M always get their nail polish packaging right. The colour looks a lot lighter in real life than on these photos, A beautiful light nude tan colour, perfect for summer and even great with a tan.
Although I love the look of this polish, I'm not so keen on the consistency. I find every light colour I use, it is impossible to get the right coat and finish on my nails, does anybody else find this? I used 2 coats to get this consistency and to me it still seems slightly streaky.
The finish is rather shiny compared to your average polish but nothing to rave about, Maybe it is just this colour so I'm desperate to try others. It also took forever to dry, I would say I waited at least 30 minutes before I could actually use my hands without them smudging. This is probably okay for some but I am a fast dry type of girl, I can be very impatient and cannot be bothered waiting around for them to dry!

Overall I did love this product, the colour is beautiful and one of the best nude colours I have seen for a high street brand. The only fault that it is highly time consuming and does not give you the perfect finish which really disappointed me, but I would try this again and maybe next time I might begin to love it even more.

Have you tried any of these nail paints? What are your thoughts? I would love to know.

Easy Nails - Polish Remover

Hey Everyone
I recently bought a easy nail polish remover for 80p 50ML in Home Bargins. It is a dupe to the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish remover priced at £4.99 for a 10ML bottle. This is such a easy quick way to remove your nail polish, perfect for in a rush, commuting, holidays and many more! I'm one of these woman who love to change their poilish at least every 2 days so this is so amazing and less time consuming. With the price being 80p you cannot complain! The size is good for your handbag and is easy to store.

So the packaging is cute, small and easy to use. The fragrance is your average nail polish remover but all in all I love this product.

Inside there are 4 sponges I'm guessing filled with polish remover, You simply put your finger into the sponge and twist around once or twice, depending on how much nail polish you are wearing.

Here is a step by step on how to do it. Simple yet effective. I totally recommend this product, no more sitting forever using cotton pads to remover your nail polish, This saves half the time, half the mess and half the price as the expensive brands.

Have you tried any of these nail polish removers? If so whats your favorite and what do you think?

Fearne Cotton Nail Polishes

Hey guys

For Christmas I had received a lovely nail polish set of my boyfriend, the brand is by Fearne Cotton, I never thought of trying her brand before as I found most celebrity beauty products were a big let down. This set came in a pack of 6 and was priced at £12, quite cheap as it works out at around £1.50 per polish...bargin! It had the most cute colours for the winter season and I was so happy to try!

So the set came with three beautiful warm colours, Sparkle ruby red, Sparkle Cranberry and a glossy Red. For me, Red is my Favorite colour to wear on my nails so you could imagine my excitement when I seen these beauty's in my stocking. Not only do I love the colours, I adore how pigmented they are, one or two coats and you get the most perfect finish. Although I was excited to try the glitter polishes, I always sigh when coming to remove the polish as it is such a big pain! Not with these though, a little nail polish remover and it comes straight off! Such a bonus for me as I am very impatient ha ha. I love how you can mix match these colours and they all go perfect together. If you are a fan of a quick on the go pigmented nail polish then these would be perfect for you.

The set also came with three deep colours. When I seen these colours I was not as excited as the red ones, the colours did not pop out at me but I gave all three a try and ended up loving them all! The Fern Green has to be my favorite! Again the pigment is amazing and these are such good quality for on the go, they take literally a minute to dry, something that appeals to me more than anything. These colours are perfect for winter and would look cute with a tan. The two glitter polishes are beautiful but very sheer, You would need at least 2-3 coats to get the full opaqueness. However, these would look super good on top of another polish to add extra sparkle.

Have you tried these polishes yet?

Top 5 favorite Nail polishes!

Hey Guys!

Here I have my top 5 nail Polishes for you, I got the majority on a budget and are very cheap
My choice in colour changes on a monthly basis so here is January & February's favorites! :)

1* Sally Hansen - Thinking of Blue
This season I have been loving blue, especially blue nails. I really wanted to find the perfect navy colour as it goes with everything. I actually got this nail polish in poundland  That's right! I payed £1 for this amazing polish. Poundland now sells many brands of beauty items so when I go, I get my hands on some right bargains. Anyhoo, this polish is extremely pigmented and long lasting. 1 or 2 coats usually lasts me around 4 days. If you love a bargain or are on a budget, then look in poundland for those great beauty bargains!

2* Miss Sporty - Metal Fluid
So whilst in Superdrug I noticed Miss sporty had some great nail polishes out, So I picked up this iridescent colour, costing me under £3. I love the fact it changes colour in the light from green, to purple, to sort of a yellow base. After a few coats, this colour is amazing, and looks even better when topped up with some glitter polish!

3* Nails Inc - St James
I found this nail polish in a magazine, I was absolutely thrilled as many of you know nails inc can be pretty pricey, costing upto £11! As I only payed £2 for the magazine it came with, I was amazed with this bargain.  Sometimes its worth looking through magazines to find free gifts, some are actually amazing and well worth the money. The colour is a beautiful Reddy/pink, it gives your nails a classic and cute look, wearable for day & night!

4* Sally Hansen - The Sky's the limit
Again, I found this polish in poundland! This has to be my favorite one I have found upto now, as the colour is the nicest baby blue on this planet!! They ranged in many colour from neon to black and grey's.

5* Topshop - Rising Star
Now this is the only nail polish out the collection that was slightly pricey, For this polish I payed £6 in Topshop, Now to me that's abit expensive for a glitter polish but seeing it sparkle so lovely in the shop I knew  I had to splash out. This glitter polish looks great on top of any colour and even looks nice on its own. What caught my eye was the little stars sparkling, to me this added extra goodness!

As you can see by my post you can get many great products from cheaper places, that are just as good! I see Sally Hansen nail polishes in boots and they cost a arm and a leg! But If you love a bargain then look in poundland or clearance sales for some goodies!!

Nails Nails Nails

Helloo there!

I'm Laura, a makeup and nail enthusiast, I'm a novice, just have passion and love for anything in beauty.  Beginning my blog with a nail post, like most girls we love to paint our nails on a weekly basis, unless your weird like me and decide to paint them every two days.
I love looking for many different colors, glitter and patterns it gives me such a thrill to have wonderful nails.
Here are some nails I have been wearing lately for some inspiration

For years I have looked at inspiration on weheartit and tumblr and always wanted to create my own, who needs to pay to get your nails done when you can be as creative as you want at home!
A few of my favorite drugstore brands of nail polish are:
Barry m, Rimmel, Sally hansen, Essie and finally nails inc.
To me I feel all of those drugstore brands have the most pigment and you barley need much to create the perfect look.

This is the beginning of my nail and makeup blog, hopefully many more to come, so I can share my passion for beauty.
