Products I would never purchase again

Here are few beauty products that I have found highly disappointing and would never purchase again. These might work for some people but for me It was a complete waste of money.

Firstly, good old nail polish remover. I bought this when I was away for a week and was in desperate need in taking my chipped nail polish off. As this was the cheapest one I could find where I was, I thought it would just be as good as my 80p one at home. I hate this and so did my nails! Not only did it make them dry, but took at least half of the bottle to remove it.

Now this Instant shine dry conditioner looks like something good, I use this brand for my silver shampoo and realised after I picked this product up that it was a conditioner. This made my hair oily and greasy when I have naturally dry hair. I still have a full bottle of this and would probably never use it again. It did give my hair a boost of shine but not in a good way!

I purchased Clinique Clarifying lotion when I was suffering with a little acne on my chin. I wanted a skin care regime that would reduce the redness and oiliness on my skin. As advertised by the lady on the counter I thought I would give the 3 step plan a go. Since I received a sample as well as this, I used that up first to see whether I liked it. If anything I found this regime to break me out more than I did and again was a complete waste of money. However this does work for my mother so not always a waste.

Having going through a rough time, all I had done was cry. Not looking like I wanted to be makeup free all the time, I was in need of some waterproof mascara and something that wasn't too pricey. I came across this in Asda for around £2 and I think its the worst mascara I have ever used in my life, too make matters worse I picked up the colour brown which also looks silly on me, I can never seem to find a good drugstore waterproof mascara that gives great results. Any recommendations? :)

I wear lipstick everyday, so when I seen this product I could not resist buying. Long lasting wearable lipcote I thought was right up my street. I actually can't stand wearing this product, I have used this 3 times and the times I have used this I have experienced burning lips and then I usually get some sort of pimple, I wish I could love this product but it just aint for me.

Lastly the ever most popular stay matte powder by Rimmel. Anybody else hate this product? I have a very shiny forehead and chin and no matter how many times I have attempted to love this product, It never works. I am not the biggest fan with powder anyway but this made me look like I had a thick layer of makeup on.

Disappointing Makeup Products #2

Collection 2000 lasting perfection foundation - I first tried this foundation before the concealer became popular and I did actually like the consistency and colour of the foundation but lately I have noticed a change in the formula. This foundation has now become patchy, quite dry & lasts around a hour. This could be lovely on somebody else but I am really disappointed in this product, considering It could have been one of the best ones from the drugstore.

L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique foundation - Having heard good reviews about this foundation, I thought I'd see what the big fuss was about. I honestly hated this foundation, everything about it felt wrong. It made my skin very oily (even though I have dry skin). I constantly looked shiny and my skin itched every time I wore it. It even broke me out in spots and blemishes every time I used it, I was desperate for it to be a good foundation so I tested it a few times just to be sure I wasn't having a bad skin day. Highly Annoyed and feel like it was a complete waste of money.

Revlon nail polish 004 Blue Lagoon - How beautiful is the colour of this nail polish? Just a shame the constancy is horrible. This would have been one of my favourite colours to wear this summer. Everytime I have tried this polish it takes around half hour to dry, chips within a day & looks very messy if you don't apply it carefully  This would be perfect for someone who has time to do their nails rather than for someone who leads a busy life. This is defiantly not a go too polish for me.

Clinique face powder & brush - Looking for a new face powder and being persuaded by makeup artists on the beauty counter, I was excited to try my new powder. When I have used it over my foundation I have never felt like I have been wearing so much makeup in my life. It felt to heavy on my skin and it certainly didn't match my skin tone. I'm still desperate to use this powder as I feel it would be too much of a waste not to use. Has anybody tried this and have any tips? Id love to know.

Maybelline dream glow instant bronzing makeup - I adore my bronzer's & love having the bronzed healthy look to my skin. This caught my eye when I was looking through the fake tan section, having tried this on the back of my hand it looked quite pretty, so I made a little purchase. I don't like the smell of this product nor do I like the colour on my skin tone. I thought this would have been a lovely product for the summer & for holidays but It just didn't work for me.

Disappointing makeup products

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hey Guys
Here I have my disappointing makeup products, Usually I rarely find products I dislike but I think I should share! I normally try before I buy but having tried so many times to like the product I have failed.

Starting off with the ever so popular mascara, Benefit's 'they're real'. Priced around £18 you think this product would be amazing by the advertisement. They claim its the best mascara around and it volumizes, curls and lengthens your lashes by 98%. However, I absolutely despise this product, My lashes became clumped and was so difficult to remove, Took days before my lashes went back to normal. The brush is a hard plastic and irritates my eyes while applying and it barely makes them any longer. A product worth the hype for some, but not for me. I have found cheaper products to be 100 times better.

Here I have another mascara that I have religiously tried and still not liked. It is the Maybelline's 'The falsies Volum' express' Again this just did not provide what It claims to be. Although I like the finish it leaves, It does not make my lashes volumized and certainly not false looking. I was so looking forward to this product being amazing as I heard so many good reviews, but found my sell disappointed once again with a mascara that claims to be worth the hype!

Moving on to a lip product now. How pretty does this Revlon Lip Butter look? The colour looks so pretty and the packaging is beautiful, this was the main reason in me purchasing this product. However, I was so disappointing when I tried this on. I originally bought this to wear on my birthday, My first ever lip butter! I thought this would be perfect, a shiny pink lip butter. It made my lips dry, looked cracked and unconditioned. I would never wear this product as It made my lips look ridicules  It has put me off trying any other lip butters as I'm curious whether to pay the £8 for something so rubbish. Have you tried any others? Whats your favorite colour? Id love to know as I would really want to try more to see what they have to offer!

I wanted a good Oil-free tinted moisturizer for the summer, I love experimenting with many tinted moisturizers and came across this one by Stila. The reason I chose this was because of the high SPF and the fact it was oil-free as I feel my skin feels better without it. This was awful on my skin, It was so thick and clumpy and looked very patchy, even when applied with my hands or a brush. It did not describe what it said on the tin and I hate products that lie! I got this in the colour 'light' As I'm pretty pale during summer, I thought this would be perfect. As you can see the pigment is very yellow and left me with orange marks across my skin, I looked like I did not have a clue how to apply it. However the packaging is easy and light for your handbag!

Here I have MAC's Peach twist Blusher. I went into my nearest MAC store looking for a gorgeous pinky/brown blush for everyday wear. I was advised by a makeup-artist to buy this colour as she thought it suited my skin tone and would look great with my foundation. Such a lie! I got home and religiously tried this product to try like it as much as I could, the amount of times I tried, I still got the same result. My cheeks looked orange and extremely patchy, It too bright for my skin tone and it has glitter reflects in it! I love MAC but every time I go into their store I always find myself receiving the wrong colours for my skin. Has anybody tried this blush? I personally can't bare it on my face and I'm disappointed in myself for paying that much for a blush I don't like :(

That is all my disappointing products as I barely find ones I dislike.
Hope you enjoyed & thanks for reading :)

Whats products are you disappointed in? or Do you like any of these products?
